    I have determined
    All that arises passes away
    I have determined that
    I know nothing

    It is easy to determine
What time it is. It is always now.
    Now I have everything

    Attention here and now
Compassion emerges when sadness merges with joy
Only those who have transcended the world can make a better world

    When we start with pain
where do we go from here?
If children have been hurt and their parents are filled with guilt and fear,
where do we go from here?
Stories of events are just that – stories.
    The events that transpired
are known to the people who were present.
Yet even though they saw and heard and felt the moment
they are only able to tell the story from their own limited perspective.
The role of anyone who would intervene
in the lives of the troubled
is to listen and be present
    to receive what is shared.
The role is to give comfort and acknowledgement.
    The role is to listen.
To listen carefully and with skill.

    The forests of San Francisco

    When souls escape from Purgatory
they drift on a heavenly wind
    No thoughts
    No fears
    No regrets

When souls move on their way
    A fog descends on life
    The joys and sorrows
    Become as thoughts
    Forgotten in a dream

    When souls rejoin creation
    A circle is reformed
    Fulfilling some lost plan
    For being, just being,

  • Letters of the Scattered Brotherhood

Letters of the Scattered Brotherhood was a book I found while I was looking for something else. It took me six (6) years to read “Letters” the first time. I was convinced that some deep answers lay in the pages. It did hold some revelations which emerged gradually.

Since I’m reading it this time with notebook nearby I will try to pass along some of the shiny jewels.

[For me the “pearl of great price” is the realization that the Creator is within each person and the goal of personhood is to humbly be a channel for the Creator’s action in the world without resisting. See also an earlier view.]
